Lily's "Special Day" at school finally came. She had waited and planned and dreamed of the day. It's a glorious 30 minutes in kindergarten, when you have the spotlight all to yourself. You share your family, you show and tell your favorite items, and read a sweet little book to the class about your favorite things and why your teacher and your family think you're so special. Lily was practically bursting with excitement over it all. She carefully selected her fanciest dress for the occasion.

Lily's a hugger. You can see in this picture that she is running short on teeth. She lost three teeth in one week, including her two front teeth. And apparently our tooth fairy has a limit to her services because by the third lost tooth that week, she was a no-show for four straight nights.
When Lily's moment in the spotlight was over, we still had a few minutes before going to eat lunch with her, so Ava and I hung out in the book nook. She's getting so big.
