Whew! Has it really been over two weeks since my last post? We're currently in the throes of basketball season, which also happens to be birthday season at our house (six of us have birthdays between November and January)......In addition to the normal busyness that keeping up with a family of seven entails, in the past two weeks, we've thrown 4 birthday parties, hosted dinner for the basketball team (who've played 6 games since my last post)......but now I'm back with post #7 of our top 10 in '10.
I wanted to post pictures of some of our get-togethers with Chris's family, but I've been having a hard time deciding what exactly to say. I feel like I've said it all before. I love Chris's family. Carla is an inspiration. Healthwise, she is doing incredibly well right now. The doctors had prepared us for the worst, but since her trach surgery, she has been doing fabulous. The trach gives access for her to be suctioned out, and without the build-up of fluid in her lungs, she has been able to remain quite healthy. She has even been able to attend a couple of Chris's games.
Chris's sister Traci is also an inspiration. She has taken sole responsibility for Carla's care, in addition to running her daycare and being a mom. She is laden with responsibilities and stresses right now, and yet she remains kind, thoughtful and generous. We love her so.
Anyway, this post is a round-up of the unblogged pictures from some of our time together in 2010, beginning with pics from one of Kade's baseball games.

Emma had a pair of rainbow glasses she bought at the mall with my sister Marsie, they were her favorite accessory the summer of 2010. Tanner like them enough to wear them to the park.
He noticed me snapping pics of him and gave me the stink-eye.
These pictures are out of focus, but I love them anyway.
Traci has had a daycare in her home since her kids were little, as a result, both Kade and Tanner are amazing with babies and little children. Seeing them always melts my heart a little.
It's pretty obvious that Owen adores Traci.
We had sparklers....
...and fireworks. Owen thought they were too loud.
